After attending Microsoft Dynamics™ SL (Solomon) General Ledger Module Training, you will be able to:
- Understand how the GL module interacts with other modules.
- The processes involved in the flow of transactions through
the GL.
- Add new account and subaccount numbers to the Chart of Accounts.
- Create batches of Journal Transactions using the different
types of Journal Transactions batches.
- Understand how to use the Batch Handling options to release
batches in a data entry screen.
- Understand how to use the GL Release Batches screen.
- Post transactions to update account balances.
- Use account inquiry to view account balances and drill down to
the transaction details.
- Define ledgers for budgets and statistics for use with budget
maintenance, allocations and financial reporting.
- Create simple budgets or budget using the user defined distribution
types.
- Define allocation groups using various allocation methods and
process allocation transactions.
- Close General Ledger for the fiscal period or year.
